Employment duties were diverse and included property research, property management, arranging surveys, tenure negotiation for construction easements, and data management. Related duties included budgeting, database updates, liasing with all contacts necessary to see projects through to completion. Contract work included the securement of tenure for road purposes where title was to be cancelled to portions purchased as road right of way.

Gateway Program, Ministry of Transportation
Girard Land Services was contracted by National Land Consultants to manage the research and data management for the lead Properties Consultant. The project tasks included the identification and consultation of strategic properties for acquisition purposes. Sub Projects included the South Fraser Perimeter Road, North Fraser Perimeter Road, and the Twinning of the Port Mann and the widening of Highway 1. Primary duties include the identification of all properties along each sub project routes, and assist with the conveyance of properties deemed as strategic acquisitions.

Knight Street Bridge, Translink
Identify fee simple ownership and water lot information for holdings adjacent to the road right of way network.

Hatchacres, Environmental
Research properties ownership, zoning classification of land use, and determine owner contact information. Present data collected and confirmed in an Excel Spreadsheet format.

Golden Ears Bridge, Translink
Specific identification of approximately 300 properties within a 8 week time frame. Girard Land Services was retained by National Land Consultants to identify the properties, research ownership & coordinate the data management. The project included a feasibility analysis for the crossing of the Fraser River from Langley to Maple Ridge. Properties were sorted by Municipality. Four municipalities were to be affected by the projects alignment.

Establishment of tenure through Crown Lands for the purposes of obtaining aggregate products for the maintenance of the provincial road network.

Duties included the cancellation of title for portions of property purchased for road right of way.
